Indie startups and the shit I learn in therapy

Updated March 8, 2026.

I just moved to Mexico City! I'm planning to stay for at least a couple of years because I absolutely love the city (and the country) and I want to improve my Spanish. I'm also planning to try to spend some time in South America too.

My main focus is working with Austin on building MetaMonster - the SEO automation tool that helps local SEO agencies quickly optimize the basics for their clients so they can get back to growing their business.

I also built Shipletter - an AI agent that lives in your Slack and turns your team's conversations, links, and updates into polished newsletters.

To pay the bills I still do work with early stage AI startups as a fractional CMO.

At this point ChartJuice is pretty much dead, but maybe with how good AI has gotten I'll eventually spin it out into a totally free tool and see if it gets any traction that way.

I try to write at least one blog post a month here about what I'm learning from both my own work and my consulting work. I send it out along with several other recommended reads in a monthly newsletter that I call Founder Tonic.
